Solano Animal Clinic

Solano Animal Clinic, established in 1988, is a full-service, small animal veterinary clinic providing comprehensive
medical, surgical, and dental care. And, for those interested, we offer acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbs.

In addition to the usual veterinary equipment, we have an in-house AFP digital dental radiography (x-ray) unit
and a Caris ultrasound machine. We have separate examination rooms for the severely contagious, as well
as a separate isolation hospitalization area. Our runs are indoors and we have an enclosed courtyard for exercise.

Our job is not to only treat your pet when they are not feeling well, but also to aid you in keeping your best friends
happy and healthy so that they can live as long as possible. To aid us in this endeavor, we are the only clinic
employing a veterinarian certified as both a Certified IVAS Acupuncturist and a Chinese Veterinary Practitioner
and Herbologist. We are able to offer the best of both worlds to provide the best veterinary care possible.

Dr. Delores Craig graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1983.
In 1985, she moved to New Mexico and managed a practice in El Paso, Tx.
for three years. She purchased Solano Animal Clinic in June 1988. In 2004,
after twenty one years of practicing Conventional Western Medicine, she
became interested in integrating Modern  Western Medicine with Traditional
Chinese Veterinary Medicine, (TCVM). This interest was driven by the need
to find additional treatments for pain management for her geriatric patients.
As Dr. Craig became more proficient in TCVM, she began incorporating her
TCVM knowledge in the treatment other medical diseases such as kidney
disease, cancer, liver disease and allergies.

Dr. Craig is certified as a Traditional Chinese Veterinarian Practitioner. As
of October 2009, she is one of  92 people in the nation with this certification.
Dr. Craig was accepted as a teaching associates for the IVAS Acupuncture
Course in San Diego 2008-2009. She is planning to sit for her board examination
             in 2011.

Dr. Craig and her husband, Russell, love to travel, skiing, scuba diving, hiking and
white-water rafting. They have no children, but share their home with their two dogs,
Killian (shown in the home page), Maximus,  and the newest addition,
             Sylvester, (pictured on this page).
